The Institute for Learning in Retirement program offers both a fall and spring semester. ILR program courses start and end at various times during each semester. Students do not have to be present for an entire semester to participate in the ILR program. Please note, if you are registering online and do not see a course listed, that means that it is full.
Fall Semester 2025: Thursday, September 25 to Friday, December 19, 2025. Fall Registration will open September 10, 2025 (date subject to change). The Fall Catalog will be released by mid-August 2025. For Fall 2025 ILR students may choose up to four Primary Classes and three Bonus Classes.

HOW TO REGISTER: 3 ways to register! Students may register ONLINE, by PHONE, or IN-PERSON. During Registration students purchase an ILR membership for the semester, and then they are able to enroll in their courses. Registration can be done at any point during the semester, as long as there is still space available in courses.
REGISTER ONLINE: Students may start registering, the first day that regsitration opens. There will be a link at the top of this page that students will click on to get to the Registration site.
REGISTER BY PHONE: Call the ILR office at (201) 447-7156 or call the ILR Program Supervisor, Alissa Villalba-Hasson, at (201) 447-7861. You may also call Continuing Education and Workforce Development at (201) 447-7488.
REGISTER IN-PERSON: Visit either Continuing Education and Workforce Development in TEC-115 or the ILR Office in TEC-116. Both are located in The Technology Building, BCC Paramus Campus (400 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652).
COST: For the ILR Fall Semester 2025 an ILR membership fee of $150.00 entitles students to choose up to 4 courses per semester, plus up to 3 Bonus Courses. The ILR accepts new members at any time during the semester, but does not prorate fees. ILR memberships are non-refundable. Refunds are not given for courses that are canceled. Instead, if possible, the ILR will assist with helping students find another course. If a one of the classes of a course is canceled. the ILR, if possible, will reschedule a makeup. Refunds are not given for an canceled or rescheduled classes.
PAYMENT: Payment is by credit card only.
RETURNING STUDENTS: If you are a returning ILR student, use your current username (your email) and password to log in for Registration.
RESETTING PASSWORD: Returning students can also reset their ILR passwords online by clicking the prompt “I forgot sign in details” to be found just under the Sign in Details for Returning Students. For help resetting forgotten passwords contact the ILR at [email protected].
HOW TO REQUEST SCHEDULE CHANGES: To request a change to your schedule after registering please contact the ILR program.

During the semester, this listing will also be posted at the front counter of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, TEC-115. ONLINE CLASSES: Before classes start, ILR students will receive the link for their online course that they will use for the duration of the course.
